Azuro, Inc. a provider of innovative electronic design automation (EDA) tools that significantly reduce the power consumption of digital semiconductor chips, today announced that it has selected KeyBridge, Inc. to provide sales support in Japan. KeyBridge is widely recognized as a leading Japanese distributor for EDA products with a reputation for building strong customer relationships and delivering compelling new EDA tools to the Japanese market.

“The Japanese consumer is leading the technology curve in many wireless and handheld device markets, " said Barb Acosta, vice president sales and business development at Azuro. “Power budgets have become a critical concern for wireless chip design teams, and we are seeing significant interest in our PowerCentric™ solution in Japan. Azuro and KeyBridge share a united vision of building strong, long lasting customer relationships and providing dedicated local technical support in Japan.”

“We are very pleased to be partnering with Azuro,” said Masahiro Ishihara, president and chief executive officer of KeyBridge. “KeyBridge has established strong relations with customers in the wireless and consumer markets where we see a significant need for new low power design solutions. The introduction of Azuro’s PowerCentric design tool is well timed to meet the evolving power requirements of the thriving Japanese IC market.”

Launched in May 2005, PowerCentric is a complete solution for the implementation of low power clock networks that significantly reduces digital switching power above and beyond existing low power industry design solutions. Azuro’s customers can translate this power saving advantage directly into enhanced functionality, talk time or play time on their devices.
